I realize that everyone and their mother is putting out PSL or pumpkin recipe of some sorts. I am a proud member of the basicAF pumpkin loving tribe and I truly live for this time of year when it is standard to wear boots & sweaters, apple pick, take pictures of the leaves changing colors and consume ALL. OF. THE. PUMPKIN. THINGS. Too bad it is freaking 90 degrees in Chicago right now and this weekend both our AC and power went out… super cool, right?! I have faith that fall will actually come soon and then it will really be acceptable to make all of these nut milk free, super basicAF PSLs!
nut milk free, super basicAF PSL
makes 1 serving
12-16oz hot water (I use this electric kettle and I looove it!)
1 packet or tbsp of Dandy Blend
1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides
1 tbsp organic pumpkin puree
1 tbsp coconut butter (I use eatingEVOLVED unsweetened roasted – so good)
1 tsp MCT oil (I use this one from Wild Foods)
1 tsp raw maca powder
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice (or more if you’re obsessed like me!)
bring water to a boil however you usually like to do so.
in a mug, combine all of the PSL ingredients besides the water.
pour in 1/2 of the water and use either a spoon, whisk, or aerolatte (one of my favorite kitchen + travel tools!) to mix the ingredients until they’re all melted/dissolved/smooth.
add in the other 1/2 of the water and stir again until combined (be careful if you’re using your aerolatte here… if your cup is too full, you will spray your entire face and kitchen with PSL!)
top with more pumpkin spice and devour!
